Trophy Club Former Ethics Commission Member Urges People to Unfollow the TCJ

More FriendZone members call for "unfollowing" the TCJ.

08/28/2020 – Trophy Club, TX

A former member of the Trophy Club Ethics Commission is urging people to “unfollow” the Trophy Club Journal after we report his familial connection to a scandal involving the 2016 Citizen of the Year award.

Reece Bautista was an alternate member of the Trophy Club Ethics Commission at the time his wife submitted a recommendation for the 2016 Citizen of the Year award for their friend, Tiffany Nimphius. The TCJ reported on the controversy last week. Read article here.

On Friday, Mr. Bautista joined his friend, Former Councilman Rhylan Rowe; who previously resigned from the Council after just 9 months in office, and now wants voters to re-elect him; in calling for people to unfollow (ie: boycott) the Trophy Club Journal. Mr. Rowe has made multiple calls for unliking/unfollowing the TCJ in the past, to no avail, as readership in the Trophy Club Journal has continued to rise on both the Facebook page, as well as the website TrophyClubJournal.com.

Mr. Bautista joins a chorus of persons associated with Eric Jensen, whom the TCJ has referenced as the “FriendZone”, who are now calling for some sort of boycott of the only local news organization in Trophy Club, due to our reporting of unflattering facts around this group of individuals.

Ironically, by joining socially in their calls for boycott, they are lending credence to the TCJ’s inference of the “FriendZone”.
