Candidate for Mayor Caught Exposing Himself in Lewd Photograph

Candidate for Mayor Caught Exposing Himself in Lewd Photograph.

02/26/2020 – Trophy Club, TX

A former Trophy Club Councilman has been caught on camera exposing himself and sought legal counsel to prevent the picture(s) from being released.

Eric Jensen, former Councilman and current candidate for Mayor of Trophy Club allegedly exposed himself at a party and the incident was captured on a camera by at least one individual.

The lewd picture, or pictures, were apparently passed around a group of individuals and ultimately into the hands of an informant for the Trophy Club Journal. Mr. Jensen, became aware that our informant had possession of at least one photo and directed his attorney to send a letter advising them not to release the photo.

The legal notice was sent by Mr. Jensen’s attorney care of Town Hall, a process which would ultimately make the document available to the public via an “Open Records Request” (O.R.R.).

Last year, the Trophy Club Journal requested information of the town via an O.R.R.. Our request was specifically designed to capture documents such as the letter from Mr. Jensen’s attorney. As such, the letter should have been included and released as part of our request, but it was withheld from disclosure by the town. The town cited legal exceptions to the disclosure based on personal privacy.

Unfortunately for Mr. Jensen, the Texas Attorney General ruled in favor of the Trophy Club Journal stating that the information was not subject to exception. Thus, the Attorney General ordered the town to release the document.

The document is a letter from Mr. Jensen’s Criminal Defense Attorney. As stated in the letter, the purpose of the letter was to, “…advise you of the possible consequences of disclosing the photograph.” The letter describes the potential for criminal as well as civil penalties for the publication of the lewd photograph.

The fact is that by sending the letter Jensen’s attorney has admitted that Mr. Jensen did in fact appear in at least one lewd photograph. In addition, it was Mr. Jensen’s own attorney who identified the image(s) as “lewd”. However it would seem that witnesses would agree with Mr. Jensen’s attorney.

Logic dictates that the person who took the photograph must have been the first person who transmitted it to others. Indeed, the photo(s) may have changed hands multiple times before landing in the possession of our informant. By sending the legal notice through the Town it would seem almost inevitable that knowledge of the picture(s) would be exposed to the public at large … no pun intended.

In full disclosure we must state that no person at the Trophy Club Journal has seen the actual lewd photograph(s). Our reporting is based entirely upon the letter sent by Mr. Jensens’ attorney, which is public record as directed by the Texas Attorney General, as well as statements from witnesses who acknowledge they have personally seen the photograph(s) identified by Mr. Jensen’s attorney. One of whom was unknown to Mr. Jensen and was not sent a legal notice.

One informant who has seen one of the lewd images describes it as, “…Mr. Jensen, in a full-frontal lewd photograph, surrounded by a group of others at a party.”  A second, independent source added that, “… Mr. Jensen is fully exposed as he is getting up from a couch while sitting next to someone who does not appear to be his wife.” It is unclear whether the two informants are referring to the same photograph or two different photographs.

Mr. Jensen’s actions could be quite detrimental to the citizens of Trophy Club and we feel that the release of this information is of paramount importance to citizens in order to have the facts about someone who may become the chief representative of the town. Someone who could possibly be blackmailed in return for favors could have far reaching consequences for the citizens. Having the Mayor of Trophy Club mocked at state or national events is another concern.

Questions arise as to the full nature of Mr. Jensens’ lewd photograph(s). Is it true that the person sitting next to him appears to be someone other than his wife? Was this an act of infidelity? Or is Mr. Jensen part of a swingers club? What does this photograph(s) say about his judgement? Does he frequently attend or host swinger parties? What role did he play in the attempt to suppress the information at Town Hall? Does this have anything to do with his desire to remove former Town Manager Tom Class and install his own person as the Town Manager?

These are just a few of the many questions that need to be answered regarding the nature of these lewd photograph(s). We urge Mr. Jensen to come forward and to be honest with the people of Trophy Club.

The Trophy Club Journal’s attempts to contact Mr. Jensen’s attorney for comment were not successful. We then reached out to Mr. Jensen who did not respond to our multiple requests for comment.

A redacted copy of all the documents are included below for reference of the general public.
